A woman has moved Lahore's civil court and filed a petition against the release of the last episode of popular drama serial ‘Mere Pass Tum Ho’. Petitioner has claimed that the drama has negatively portrayed women in the society.

The show has repeatedly passed derogatory comments about women and has disrespected their status, said the woman, identified as Maham Chaudhry. “This is an attempt to show women as weak and less important in society,” she stated in her petition.

Chaudhry added that this does not benefit Pakistani women at all and has put negative impact on them, local media reported.

The drama has been a massive hit among the Pakistani audience. The last episode is also set to hit the cinema screens on January 25.

Produced by Humayun Saeed and Shahzad Nasib under their production banner Six Sigma Plu, it features Humayun Saeed, Ayeza Khan, Adnan Siddiqui and Hira Mani in lead roles.
