KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours, where one ship carrying containers were allotted berth at Qasim International Container Terminal on Monday, a PQA press release issued here Tuesday said.
Meanwhile four more ships scheduled to load/offload containers, cement and edible oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 25 percent at the Port Qasim on Tuesday where total number of three ships namely Safmarine Ngami, Rapallo and M.V Chem Road Echo are currently occupying berths to load/offload container, conal seeds and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 43,466 tonnes, comprising 26,393 tonnes import and 17,073 tonnes export was handle, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1,231 containers (Boxes) at the Port Qasim last 24 hours.
