KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours, where three ships carrying containers were allotted berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal on Tuesday, April 03.
Meanwhile two more ship scheduled to load/offload containers and chemical also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 55 percent at the Port on Wednesday where total number of six ships namely MV. Buxhill, Sealand Washington, MV. Nangin Dragon Almutanabbi, Umm Ad Dalkh and MV. Yamamah are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, urea and chemical respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 72,037 tonnes, comprising 49,042 tonnes imports and 22,995 tonnes exports was handle, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2763 containers (Boxes) at the Port during last 24 hours.
