International players to visit Pakistan to promote football

ISLAMABAD: International football organizer Ahmer Kanwer on Tuesday said that international soccer players would visit Pakistan soon to promote football game.

Talking to a private news channel, he said famous stars including Luis Figo, Peter Nicholas and Kaka would attend the event.

He said that the event would change the misconception that majority of people were interested in cricket only as it was witnessed that a large number of youth was also passionate to play football.

Kanwer said the organizers were in contact with the private training institutes to select the skilled young players, adding these players would play with the international footballers after being trained by the coaches.
