KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours, where a ship carrying chemical was allotted berth at Engro Vopak Terminal Monday 27th February, 2012.
Meanwhile five more ship scheduled to load/offload containers, canola seed, furnace oil and diesel oil also arrived at outer anchorage Port Qasim during last hours.
Berth occupancy was 35 percent at the Port Qasim on Tuesday where a total of four ships namely, M.V Lion, Arrilah -1, Anette Kosan and Qubaa are currently occupying berths to load/offload rice, urea, chemical and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 32,162 tonnes, comprising 29,363 tonnes import, 2,526 tonnes export was handled at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
M.V Qubaa and Anette Kosan sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning while MV, Arrilah-I will sail later today.
