Actor-producer Ajay Devgn announced on Monday that his forthcoming film ‘Total Dhamaal’ will not release in Pakistan due to strain situation between the two nations post Pulwama attack.

“In light of the current situation the team of ‘Total Dhamaal’ has decided to not release the film in Pakistan,” Devgn tweeted. The movie has been scheduled to release on February 22.

Starring Madhuri Dixit, Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffrey and Riteish Deshmukh in lead roles. Actor Riteish also made the similar announcement through his social media account.

Post the Pulwama attack, T-series has taken down songs of Pakistani singers from their YouTube, while a ban on Pakistani artists is also in place. Earlier, Javed Akhtar and wife Shabana Azmi also cancelled their trip to Karachi, where they were scheduled to attend an event at Karachi Arts Council.
