Acting Mayor Karachi Syed Arshad Hasan said that KMC will not allow setting up of cattle markets in Karachi other than the 8 designated places and if any such market is found, strict action will be taken against it.
He said this while addressing to a meeting on the establishment of unauthorised cattle markets in the city ahead of upcoming Eid ul Azha.
The meeting was attended by the chairman of katchi abadies committee Saad Bin Jafar, senior director veterinary Jamil Farooqui, senior director anti-encroachments Bashir Siddiqui, director land, director city warden, director estate etc.
Acting mayor said that unauthorised cattle markets can lead to problems in the city and can also affect the traffic system therefore action will be taken against them.
