Numero uno Pakistan take on the Proteas in T20 encounter tonight

After suffering a humiliating 3-0 whitewash in Test series and losing the One Day Internationals (ODI) albeit respectably 3-2, Pakistan tour of South Africa may not have been what the visitors have expected.

But the Men in Green could still have a last laugh as they will now play the hosts in a format, where they reign as numero uno. The Men in Green will be raring to go against South Africa in the 1st T20I at Newlands, Cape Town tonight.

To start off with, Pakistan boost the likes of the explosive Fakhar Zaman and the consistent Babar Azam, currently the number one T20I batsman in the world. This is followed by the experience batting duo Mohammad Hafeez and skipper Shoaib Malik in the middle order.

The team, however, will be without their regular skipper Sarfraz Ahmed as he was subjected to a four-match ban by the ICC.

Coming to the bowling department, the fast bowling trio of Hasan Ali, Mohammad Amir and Shaheen Afridi form a formidable pace attack, while Shadab Khan and Imad Wasim perform the spin duties.

The Men in Green are world beaters in the shortest format as they have triumphed in 11 T20I series on the trot. Their last defeat in a bilateral T20I series came against New Zealand back in January 2016.
