Pak vs SA: Pakistan bats in series decider at Cape Town

South Africa captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and opt to bowl first against Pakistan on Wednesday, in the series deciding fifth One Day Internaional (ODI)  at Newlands, Cape Town.

After a mundane and one-sided Test series, the One Day International (ODI) series between Pakistan and South Africa has been a thrill ride. With the series hanging in balance 2-2, today’s encounter will decide the fate of the contest.

For Pakistan, the ODI series has brought a sense of relief after its batting department finally put their act together and stepped up. The batsmen have played with intent and desire to pile huge runs on the board.

However, the series has not been without its share of moments, some uncalled for including the suspension of their skipper Sarfraz Ahmed, who is out the series owing to a racist comment uttered during a live contest.

Whereas, there have also been remarkable turnarounds from the Men in Green after they became the first side to beat South Africa in a Pink ODI. Back in 2013, they were the first to beat Proteas at home.

Now, they are eyeing to make history with their back-to-back series win.
