On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,743. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 12.585 billion and the number of lots traded 16,494. Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 6.602 billion, followed by DJ PKR 1.782 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.493 billion, gold PKR 910.641 million, currencies through COTS PKR 631.228 million, SP500 PKR 404.526 million, platinum PKR 308.702 million, silver PKR 278.111 million, Brent crude oil PKR 91.894 million, copper PKR 51.490 million, natural gas PKR 25.085 million and Japan Equity PKR 6.186 million. In agriculture commodities 17 lots of cotton valued at PKR 13.648 million were traded.
