Zayn Malik touches his Pakistani roots in latest song video ‘Satisfaction’

Former ‘One Direction’ singer Zayn Malik's recent new single ‘Satisfaction’ video, which is based on the theme of love, loss and rebirth, touches his Pakistani roots with some Urdu poetry.

The music video begins with a beautiful Urdu poetry, which describes the feeling of love. The video starts with the words 'Jab tak iss mohabbat ka phool na khilay, tab tak iss dil ko sukoon na milay [Until the flower of this love has blossomed, till then this heart won't be at peace]..Dil dai mujhy, dil dai mujhy [give me your heart, give me your heart].'

Echoing the words featured in his 2016 debut studio album, ‘Mind of Mine’, the words set the tone for the rich visuals, which portray the story of a couple’s relationship, through flashbacks on their loving past and the devastating tragedy that ensues. The clip culminates on a hopeful note of rebirth.

The video has dark aesthetics with an ending of hopeful new beginning. The video shows the couple going through their good and bad times.

Many speculate that the song is based on his real life breakup with girlfriend Gigi Hadid as the song dropped at the same time when the news about his breakup went viral.

A recent report in US Weekly stated, the two parted ways as the 23-year-old model tried her hardest to make it work but Zayn had way too many issues of his own to handle.
