The Meteorological department warned on Monday that the persistence of clouds over South Arabian Sea shows an area of convection with a potential of development of a cyclonic circulation over there. Tropical Cyclone Warning Centre-Karachi of Pakistan Meteorological Department is monitoring the local and regional meteorological conditions regularly and a weather advisory, in case of any cyclonic activity, will be issued accordingly.
Meanwhile in its weather report for Tuesday, the Met Office said that mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, light rain-thunderstorm associated with gusty winds is expected at a few places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Rawalpindi division, upper FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
It said weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country. The hottest places in the country were Chhor 47°C, Mithi 46°C, Sibbi 45°C, Karachi, Moenjodaro, Sukkur, Thatta 44°C each, Hyderabad 42°C and Lahore 41°C.
