‘I am not surprised, that’s him:’ Deepika on Ranbir skipping her wedding reception

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone were one of the most loved Bollywood couple before they parted ways in 2009. Although they mend their differences and continue to remain friends till now, Ranbir ended up skipping Deepika’s wedding reception, making many wonder the reason behind it.

Deepika married him Ranveer Singh on November 14 and 15 this year and went on to host three receptions. Many eyebrows were raised when Deepika's ex-flame Ranbir did not attend the reception meant for Bollywood celebrities, considering how the actors are said to be on good terms.

Although it's been said that Ranbir was busy shooting for an all-night schedule of ‘Brahmastra’ that same day but that didn't stop people from questioning that if he deliberately avoid being a part of her wedding celebration. Many Bollywood biggies attended Ranveer-Deepika’s wedding reception despite their busy schedule.

When recently asked about Ranbir not attending their wedding reception and whether she has spoken to him about it, Deepika said said that they haven't spoken. "I mean, we spoke before the reception but we have not spoken after. But, that’s him. I’m not surprised at all. But, that’s the relationship we share and that’s the beauty of that relationship; so much is said without saying much at all,” Indian media reported.

For a long time, actress Katrina Kaif, who dated Ranbir after his breakup with Deepika, was also not on good terms with the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actress. However, the cold vibes fizzled out as Kat attended Ranveer-Deepika's reception. Deepika later on after the reception even said that she had made her peace with Katrina.
