Shipping activity at Port Qasim

 KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port Qasim where three ships carrying containers, and chemicals were berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal are respectively on Tuesday, February 14.

Meanwhile another Containers ship also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was managed at the Port at 38 percent on Tuesday where a total of five ships namely C.V Sea Land Washington, C.V AL-Noof, M.V Florida-II, M.T Golden Ambrosia and M.V STX Daisy are currently occupying berths to load unload containers, cement, chemical and urea respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 75,201 tones, comprises 42,800 tones imports and 32,401 tones exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 3,378 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

Three ships C.V Sea Land Washington, C.V AL-Noof and M.T Golden Ambrosia are expected to sail on Tuesday.

C.V CMA CGM Chopan carrying containers is expected to take berth at container Terminal on Tuesday, February 15, while two more ships C.V Safmarine Ngami and C.V NYK Kai are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Wednesday, February 16.
