KARACHI: Shipping activity remained brisk at the Port during last 24 hours, where three ships carrying containers, chemicals and diesel oil were allotted berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and FOTCO Terminal on Sunday, Jan, 29.
Berth occupancy was 45 percent at the Port on Sunday where total number of five ships namely M.V Maersk Kentucky, MSC Clara, Golden Ambrosia, Leader and M.V Anjasmoro are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, chemical, diesel oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 59,980 tonnes, comprising 33,436 tonnes imports and 26,544 tonnes exports inclusIve of containerized cargo carried in 1695 containers (Boxes) was handle at the Port during last 24 hours.
M.V Clara, Maersk Kentucky and Anjasmoro sailed out to sea on Monday morning while M.V Golden AmbrosIa will sail later today.
