KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours, where two ships carrying containers were allotted berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal on Sunday, January, 22.
Meanwhile two more ships carrying containers and chemical also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 65 percent at the Port on Monday where total number of seven ships namely M.V Maersk Georgia, ACX Lily, MSC Clara, Leopard-B, LA Paloma, M.V Ataman and M.V Akaki are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice, canola seed and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 88,383 tonnes, comprising 54,370 tonnes imports and 34,013 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2083 containers (Boxes) was handle at the Port during last 24 hours.
Four ships MSC Clara, Maersk Georgia, M.V Akaki and ACX Lily sailed out to sea on Monday morning.
