LONDON: Europe's main stock markets steadied at the start of trading on Tuesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.1 percent at 7,594.73 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index gained 0.1 percent to 12,566.97 points and the Paris CAC 40 lost 0.1 percent to 5,405.61 points compared with Monday's closing levels.
