LAHORE: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) will impart training to 600 officials of the Punjab Livestock and Dairy Development department.
According to a spokesman of the department on Tuesday, under this training programme the capacity building of the officials will be enhanced so that they could be able to handle the financial and administrative affairs of the department in a better way.
The development of the human resource is mandatory for the better use of modern technology and professional skills, the spokesman added. All the departmental promotions of the officials would be considered on the basis of the training by the UVAS, it added.
Meanwhile, Vice Chancellor of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Prof.Dr.Talat Naseer Pasha said that after the training in the UVAS, the officials of the Livestock and Dairy Development would be able to enhance the efficiency of the departments besides giving suggestions to livestock farmers in looking after their dairy and other cattle.
