The interior minister also briefed the meeting on reported backchannel contacts with the leadership of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), sources said.

The meeting considered various constitutional and legal options to address the situation in the province, according to sources.

The meeting also discussed backchannel contacts with PTI leaders and different legal and constitutional options to deal with the situation in KP, according to the sources.

The prime minister decided that all stakeholders would be taken into confidence before any decision was taken regarding KP.
