KARACHI: Gold prices rounded sharply on Wednesday, tracking a global market’s uptrend, traders said.
They resurged by Rs4,300 to settle at Rs441,636 per tola and Rs3,686 to Rs378,631 per 10 grams, according to All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
World market posted an increase of USD 43 in gold bullion rates, re-growing to USD 4,191 per ounce while silver stood firm at USD 61 per ounce, just up by USD 0.20, it cited.
Following suit, domestic silver prices edged higher by Rs20 and Rs17, reaching Rs6,578 per tola and Rs5,639 per 10 grams, respectively, the association added.
It is worth noting the open market may trade gold and silver at different prices as compared to those set by the association as per the interbank exchange rates.
