KARACHI: Shipping activity was report at the port where seven ships, BSG Barbados, CMA CGM Congo, MSC Panaya, El Bella, Sunisa Naree, Victoria Kosan and GM-2 scheduled to load/offload Container, H.S.F.O, Steel Coil, Chemicals and LPG, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, FOTCO oil Terminal, Marginal Wharf Terminal-1, Engro Vopak Terminal and Sui Southern Gas Terminal on 16th September. Meanwhile three more ships, GSL Melina, T. Mount Fuji and Rising Sky GR carrying Container, Palm oil and Coal also arrived at outer anchorage during last 24 hours.
A total of thirteen ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them four ships, BSG Barbados, MSC Panaya, CMA CGM Congo and Alwine left the port on Monday morning, while five more ships, GSL Melina, Roama-18, Esperia, Sunsia Naree and Chris GR expected to sail on Monday afternoon.
Cargo volume of 156,171 tones comprising 125,098 tones imports cargo and 31,073 export cargo carried in 3,376 Containers (1,900 TEUs Imports & 1,476 TEUs Export)was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 20 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them five ships, Al-Joudy-I, Sea Trader, Carpe Diem, Jhon-K and GSL Melina & another ship ‘BSG Bimini’ carrying Steel Billets, Palm oil, Chick Peas, Coal and Container are expected to take berths MW-1, LCT, FAP, PIBT and QICT respectively on Thursday 17th September, 2026.
