ISLAMABAD: The federal government reduced the mark-up rate on General Provident Fund (GP Fund) savings to 12.05 percent for fiscal year 2025-26, down from 12.46 percent in the preceding year.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the revised mark-up rate on the State Provident Fund, including the General Provident Fund, has been conveyed to the Controller General of Accounts (CGA) for implementation.

The GP Fund mark-up rate stood at 13.97 percent in fiscal year 2023-24, before being reduced to 12.46 percent in fiscal year 2024-25 and further to 12.05 percent in 2025-26.
