KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 132,451 Tons of Cargo Comprising 70,591 Tons of Import Cargo and 61,860 Tons of Export Cargo during last 24 hrs ending at 0700 hours.
The Total Import Cargo of 70,591 Tons Comprised of 47,766 Tons of Containerized Cargo, 8,645 Tons of Bulk Cargo, 1,661 Tons of (Dap), 7,269 Tons of Rock Phosphate, and 5,250 Tons of Soya Beans Seeds.
The Total Export Cargo of 61,860 Tons Comprised of 17,485 Tons of Containerized Cargo,742 Tons of Bulk Cargo, 29,104 Tons of Clinkers, 2,129 Tons of Rice, and 12,400 Tons of Liquid Cargo.
Two ships namely GFS Jade, and Nyk Constellation are at Berth at Karachi Port Trust.
Six ships namely Ever Uran, Hyundai Brave, Ming Qiang Xing, Tianjin Ventura, MSC Emanela, and Jasmine-8 sailed from Karachi Port Trust.
Port Qasim
Shipping activity was report at the port where seven ships, Hua Chuang-66, MSC Toronto, Hiroshima Star, Prima Dharma, Mraikh, Qi Lin Zou and Najwa carrying Container, Soya Bean Seed, Chemicals, LNG, Mogas and Coal, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, Grain Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal, Pakistan Gas Port Terminal, FOTCO oil Terminal and Pakistan International Bulk Terminal on 22nd June. Meanwhile six more ships, GSL Melina, Athenian Star, FS Bitumen No.2, Aprex, Libero and Sun Profit scheduled to load/offload Container, HSFO, Bitumen, Palm oil and Coal also arrived at outer anchorage during last 24 hours.
A total of twelve ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two ships, Hua Chuang-66 and Aquavita Trust left the port on 23rd June, while four more ships, Ming Qiang Xing, MSC Toronto, Prima Dharma and PGC Patreas are expected to sail on afternoon.
Cargo volume of 182,849 tones comprising 141,215 tones imports cargo and 41,634 export cargo carried in 3,837 Containers (2,844 TEUs Imports & 993 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 15 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them four ships, Aprex, Yashar, Sun Profit and GSL Melina & another ship ‘Ming Qiang Xing’ carrying Palm oil, LPG, Coal and Container are expected to take berths LCT, EVTL, MW-4 and QICT respectively on today 23rd June, 2026.
