KARACHI: Grow Safe has successfully completed and commissioned a state-of-the-art 500 GPM fire hydrant system for a pharmaceutical company located in SITE Industrial Area, Karachi.

The skid-mounted Electric-Diesel-Jockey (EDJ) fire hydrant system comprises 22 hose reels, 10 hydrant points, two foam reels, and an integrated fire sprinkler system, significantly enhancing the facility’s emergency response.

It was meticulously designed based on the hydraulic calculations for optimum performance and utilization of multiple discharge points during major industrial fire emergencies.

Meanwhile, the newly-operational system was immediately put to test when it supported firefighting efforts during a fire incident at a neighbouring chemical manufacturing facility. The performance demonstrated reliability and effectiveness in protecting industrial assets and surrounding communities.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Pervez Hayat Noon, Group Chairman Pharmatec Pakistan, acknowledged the fact that more than 11,000 safe man-hours were achieved without a single Lost Time Injury (LTI), reflecting the commitment to occupational safety and operational excellence.

Dr Shahida Qaiser, Group CEO, Dr. Khalid Mahmud Shah, Director Medical Affairs & Medico Vigilance, Saad Abdul Wahab, CEO, Grow Safe, and other senior management and stakeholders were present on the occasion.
