PESHAWAR: Director General (DG) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA), Irum Naz, visited the KPRA Regional Office North on Wednesday to review the region’s performance during the fourth quarter of the financial year 2025-26.

Collector Sales Tax on Services KPRA, Muhammad Abbas Khan, and Director Administration, HR & Coordination, Asma Khyber, also accompanied her during the visit.

Additional Collector North Region, Muhammad Iqbal, welcomed the delegation and provided a detailed briefing on the region’s revenue collection performance.

Deputy Collector North, Ejaz Ali Khan, and Assistant Collector, Hizbullah Khan, highlighted revenues generated from various sectors and informed the Director General that the region had successfully achieved its revenue targets for the first three quarters of the financial year.

The DG was informed that the region had collected Rs 3,315 million so far and was making all-out efforts to achieve its target for the fourth quarter as well.

During the briefing, the Director General sought details regarding the increase in revenue from certain sectors and the decline in others.

The regional team provided a comprehensive overview of the factors contributing to these trends and outlined the measures being taken to further enhance revenue collection.

The DG was informed that since its establishment, the Regional Office North has collected more than Rs 14 billion in revenue.

She also inquired about recoveries in cases referred to the Regional Office North by the KPRA Directorate of Inquiry & Investigation and Directorate of Tax Audit. The regional team briefed her on the recoveries made from registered entities where audits had been conducted.

The collector inquired about revenue collection from the Hattar Industrial Estate and was informed that collections from industrial units in Hattar had exceeded Rs 600 million to date.

The team further informed him that an additional Rs 200 million in revenue is expected from the estate by the end of June 2026.

The deputy collector also informed the meeting that revenue from the hospitality sector had nearly doubled compared to the previous year.

Appreciating the team’s efforts, the director general commended the performance of the North Region and encouraged officers and staff to continue their hard work and dedication.

During her visit, the DG also distributed laptops and the latest all-in-one computers among officers of the Regional Office North as per their request.

She listened to issues raised by officers and staff regarding logistical requirements and assured them of the Authority’s support in addressing these matters to further improve operational efficiency.
