QUETTA: The Balochistan government on Tuesday imposed a ban on giving hides of sacrificial animals to banned outfits. The decision was taken at a meeting held in Quetta to review the security situation in the province during the Eid-ul-Azha holidays; overall state of cleanliness and to discuss the disposal of offal of sacrificial animals.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti chaired the meeting. Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, IGP Balochistan and divisional commissioners attended the meeting via a video link, while secretary local government, commissioner Quetta division, administrator Quetta and other officials were present at the meeting.
The meeting was briefed that 15 collection centers had been set up in five zones of Quetta. It was informed that 4,294 tonnes of animal offal were expected to be dumped in five zones of the city during three days of Eid, while 9,500 small and large machines had been arranged to dispose of the offal.
