Eight terrorists killed, cop martyred in Bannu operation
A joint operation by Bannu Police and the Counter-Terrorism Department resulted in eight terrorists killed and one police official martyred, with another injured, in Miryan.

At least eight terrorists were killed and a police official was martyred during a joint operation conducted by the Bannu Police and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) within the jurisdiction of the Miryan Police Station, Aaj News reported on Saturday.
Another official sustained injuries during the exchange of fire. Following the successful intelligence based operation, Inspector General (IG) Zulfiqar Hameed commended the security forces and announced a reward for the participating team.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also paid tribute to police and CTD for successful IBO against the Tehreek e Taliban terrorists in Bannu, the Ministry of Interior said in a press release.
The interior minister commended the bravery and professionalism of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and CTD for eliminating eith terrorists.
“Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and CTD, through timely action, foiled the nefarious designs of foreign elements,” he stated, saluting to the law enforcement agencies personnel.
Minister Naqvi also paid tribute to the police official who attained martyrdom by bravely confronting terrorists . He expressed his condolences and deep sympathy to the family of the martyred police official.
