KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 168,498 tonnes of Cargo Comprising 102,810 tonnes of Import Cargo and 65,688 tonnes of Export Cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The Total Import Cargo of 102,810 tonnes Comprised of 56,945 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 24,749 tonnes of B. Bulk Cargo, 4,037 tonnes of Chickpeas, 17,079 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The Total Export Cargo of 65,688 tonnes Comprised of 36,593 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 577 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, 4,800 tonnes of Barite Lumps, 2,824 tonnes of Cement & 20,894 tonnes of Clinkers.
Approximately, 06 ships namely, Nz Ningbo, Spirit of Bertram, MT Karachi, Dd Voyager, Zhong Gu Kun Ming & Wan Hai 62b berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Around, 05 ships namely, Nz Ningbo, Zhong Gu Nun, Sibi, Saehan Jasper & Stellar Stream 7 sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of ten ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them three ships, Seattle Express, Xin Ao Tai and Nikos left the port on Monday morning, while three more ships, Aquavita Trust, JBU Schelde and Xin Hai Tong-50 expected to sail on Monday afternoon.
Cargo volume of 103,363 tones comprising 96,512 tones imports cargo and 6,851 export cargo carried in 601 Containers (198 TEUs Imports & 403 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 20 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them four ships, Searay, TG Libra, Sea Champion and Tomini Dynasty carrying Palm oil, Chemicals and Coal are expected to take berths LCT, EVTL, MW-4 and PIBT respectively on Monday 18th May, 2026.
