ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening Pakistan’s healthcare system and expanding cooperation with humanitarian organisations to ensure effective healthcare delivery across the country.
In a series of posts on X on Friday, President Zardari said “the Government of Pakistan remains dedicated to enhancing partnerships with humanitarian organisations to provide timely and effective healthcare services.” He emphasized that integrated approaches and evidence-based policies are essential to safeguarding the health and well-being of all citizens.
The president further said that Pakistan continues to move toward Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in line with the vision of the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination. He said that the government is working to ensure essential health services are accessible, equitable, and resilient for people across the country.
The President’s remarks highlight the government’s broader efforts to improve public health infrastructure, strengthen emergency healthcare response, and expand access to medical services, particularly for vulnerable and underserved populations.
