LAHORE: Punjab Sports Department has achieved a significant milestone in the marathon history of the country when the number of athletes registered in Chief Minister Punjab National Marathon has crossed the figure of 10,000.
Showing great pleasure to this exceptional development, Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that definitely it is a mega feat for Punjab Sports Department. “The figure of 10,000 registered athletes has been achieved and still three days left in the competition,” he said.
Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that the massive registration of the public especially the youth in Chief Minister Punjab National Marathon is a welcome sign. “It is a heartening development that the sports vision of Chief Minister Punjab is being met with great success across the province,” he said.
Punjab Minister for Sports further said that a large participation of public in the CM Punjab National Marathon is a reflection of a healthy and vibrant society. “We are quite upbeat that Chief Minister Punjab National Marathon and Cycling events will set up a new record of maximum participation of people,” he said.
