LAHORE: Advisor to the Chief Minister Punjab on AI and Special Initiatives Ali Dar has said that the provincial government is actively considering adopting successful “white revolution” models at the provincial level to enhance productivity and sustainability in livestock sector.
He stressed the need to implement proven international best practices to promote livestock development and ensure long-term growth of the sector. He made these remarks during a meeting with a delegation led by Chairman of Nestlé Pakistan Syed Yawar Ali at the Office of AI and Special Initiatives.
Ali Dar reaffirmed that, under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the government is committed to providing full institutional support for initiatives aimed at strengthening the dairy and livestock sectors. He added that improving livestock productivity, animal health and farmers’ livelihoods remains a key priority of the provincial government.
The advisor also underscored the importance of adopting modern strategies, including the use of technology and artificial intelligence, to transform the livestock sector along modern lines. Both sides agreed to promote public-private partnerships to ensure direct benefits for farmers and stakeholders across the value chain.
