ISLAMABAD/ LAHORE: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Saturday held telephone conversations with the Middle East leaders to condemn Israeli aggression.

PM Sharif held a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He strongly condemned the serious regional escalation that had taken place as a result of the Israeli attack on Iran on Saturday, followed by the regrettable attacks on other Gulf countries, a press release said. While assuring the Saudi leadership of Pakistan’s full solidarity and support in the current situation, the PM said that Pakistan would always stand with its Saudi brothers and sisters, at all times to come, and under all circumstances, the press release added. The PM said that Pakistan was ready to play a constructive role at this difficult time and prayed that the blessings of the Holy Month of Ramadan would bring peace to the region at the earliest, said the press release.

However, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi. He strongly condemned the serious regional escalation resulting from the Israeli attack on Iran earlier today, followed by the regrettable attacks against the UAE, in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai, as well as in other Gulf countries.
