CM inaugurates Rajanpur’s first state-of-the-art green e-bus service
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurates Rajanpur’s first state-of-the-art green electric bus, marking the launch of a modern public transport facility in the district.
On her arrival in Rajanpur, the chief minister receives a warm and traditional welcome. Regional drums are played and a Balochi shawl is presented to her as a gesture of local hospitality. She travels on the electric bus from DHQ Kitab Chowk to PCB Chowk Chain Mari.
At Kitab Chowk, young girls Bushra Wajid and Tooba Javed shower flower petals on the Chief Minister and recite verses in her honour, saying: “Thank you — your arrival brings life to the gathering, otherwise this assembly of emotions remains incomplete,” and “Some people need no praise; flowers are never perfumed.” The Chief Minister responds with affection and appreciation for the children.
Provincial Minister for Mines Sher Ali Gorchani thanks the Chief Minister on behalf of the people of Rajanpur and says she cares for the district just as she does for Lahore. He expresses gratitude for initiatives including Suthra Punjab, improved law and order, and recruitment in the Border Military Police.
Provincial Minister for Transport Bilal Akbar Khan briefs the participants of the ceremony about the electric bus project, stating that 15 buses are operating on three routes in Rajanpur, including Rajanpur–Fazilpur, Rajanpur–Kot Mithan and the city circular road.
The Chief Minister’s arrival at the inauguration venue is met with visible enthusiasm and applause from the participants, reflecting public excitement over the launch of the modern green transport service.
