FAISALABAD: In the election of Faisalabad Union of Journalists on January 30, 2026, all the officials of Faisalabad Union of Journalists were elected unopposed for 2026-27.
Hamid Yasin has been elected as the President of FUJ, Sabir Sarwar Senior Vice President, Haider Abbas Vice President, Aamir Afridi General Secretary, Rao Naeem and Faiz Faridi Joint Secretaries, while Atif Chaudhry has been elected as the Finance Secretary.
While Muhammad Iqbal, Irfan Javed, Asif Ghaffar, Yasir Rauf, Haji Iftikhar Ahmed, Wasim Nawaz, Mirza Muhammad Naeem, Khalid Mahmood, Aamir Shah and Muhammad Sarfraz were elected as members of the Executive Council.
All the documents were declared correct after a thorough check by the Election Committee of FUJ.Yesterday, after the return of nomination papers, Election Committee announced the final list and the unopposed victory of the candidates.
The Chairman Election Committee Yousuf Haroon Bukhari officially announced the election of all officials of Faisalabad Union of Journalists without contest and congratulated them on their election.
On this occasion, apart from the newly elected office bearers, PFUJ (FEC) member Nadeem Javed and a large number of FUJ members also attended the ceremony.
