Soneri Bank appoints Ahsan Mushahid as president, CEO
- Ahsan to take charge in place of Muhtashim Ahmad Ashai
Soneri Bank Limited announced on Thursday the appointment of Ahsan Mushahid Siddiqui as President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective 1 April 2026.
The bank shared the development in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange today.
Ahsan will succeed Muhtashim Ahmad Ashai, whose employment contract will mature on March 31.
“This appointment is subject to clearance by the State Bank of Pakistan under the Fit and Proper Test requirements,” the notice read.

Muhtashim graduated with a BSc degree from the University of Engineering & Technology and completed his MBA from LUMS.
He joined Soneri Bank Limited on April 1, 2020, as president & CEO. Before joining Soneri Bank, he was the president & CEO of MCB Islamic Bank Limited.
He is a seasoned banker with an overall experience of more than 32 years in the financial industry, both local and international.
Meanwhile, Ahsan is currently the Deputy CEO at Soneri Bank Limited.
