Select Technologies Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Air Link Communication Limited, has announced a strategic partnership with global consumer electronics giant HISENSE to locally manufacture and distribute a range of home appliances in Pakistan.

The technology firm shared the development in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Thursday.

“Select Technologies Limited has entered into a strategic partnership with HISENSE, a leading global consumer electronics brand with a group revenue of $30.24 billion, for the manufacturing and distribution of home appliances in Pakistan, including Smart TVs and air conditioners,” read the notice.

“The collaboration brings together HISENSE’s global technology leadership and Airlink Group’s strong local manufacturing and nationwide distribution capabilities.”

Air Link shared that as part of this partnership, HISENSE has also expressed its intention to make a direct investment in the venture in the near future, indicating its long-term commitment to the Pakistani market.

“This alliance is expected to strengthen local manufacturing, enhance product availability, and offer high-quality home appliances tailored to local consumer needs,” read the notice.

HISENSE is a renowned Chinese multinational involved in the manufacturing of consumer electronics and home appliances.

Meanwhile, Air Link Communication Limited was incorporated in Pakistan as a private limited company in January 2014 and was converted into a public limited company in April 2019.

The company is engaged in import, export, distribution, identification, wholesale, and retail of communication and IT-related products and services, including smartphones/ cellular phones, tablets, laptop accessories, and related products.

On Wednesday, Zarea Limited, a digital B2B platform, announced that it had entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Wang Chuang Xi Jun Chang Agri Ltd valued at $2 million for the initial phase of a long-term collaboration.
