KARACHI: Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tesori hosted a luncheon in honour of the newly elected office bearers of Karachi Press Club, at the Governor House on Friday.

Addressing the newly elected office bearers, the Governor congratulated the successful panel, The Democrats, on the timely completion of the election process and its performance over the past 18 years.

He said Karachi Press Club is a democratic institution. It has been playing a leading role in protecting human rights, democracy and the constitution.

He acknowledged that the media had always supported him, the Governor House and the welfare and educational initiatives launched by him, which included advanced IT and AI training to the youth.

He assured full cooperation to resolve issues facing the journalists’ community and offered to extend the facility of IT classes for KPC members.

KPC President Fazil Jamili sought the Governor’s help in the resolution of the Club’s lease issue.
