Saudi ambassador calls on PM Shehbaz, discusses regional developments

Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy, called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House on Wednesday, reaffirming both countries’ commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties.

During the meeting, the prime minister conveyed his respectful regards and best wishes for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Expressing satisfaction over the “excellent state” of Pakistan-Saudi relations, Shehbaz reiterated his government’s resolve to deepen the long-standing fraternal relationship between the two countries.

He thanked Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for his continued patronage and support, which he said had brought bilateral ties closer than ever.

The prime minister recalled his recent meetings with the Saudi crown prince, describing them as highly productive and instrumental in elevating Pak-Saudi relations.

He also appreciated Saudi Arabia’s consistent support for Pakistan in times of need and its constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability.

Both sides exchanged views on recent regional and global developments, with the prime minister stressing the importance of dialogue and diplomacy to ensure peace and stability.

Ambassador Al-Malkiy conveyed warm greetings from King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the prime minister and reiterated the Kingdom’s desire to expand cooperation with Pakistan across all areas of mutual interest.
