He announced that Muhajirs’ and other culture days will be celebrated only under the Pakistan flag.
He recognized and paid tribute to the people of Sindh who warmly welcomed and extended all possible support to the Muslim population migrating from India after the partition of the sub-continent. The local people showed as high spirit and affection as the Ansars did at the time ‘hijrat’ of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and his companions.
However, he regretted that over the last few decades some elements remained engaged in cheap and negative politics, and tried to create hatred among the different ethnic communities.
He warned that no one would be allowed to create any kind hatred and issues on the basis of ethnicity or faith. This only damages the nation and the country. There is no room for those who want to deface Pakistan which was created after un-counted sacrifices by the ancestors. “ Anti-Pakistan voices will be crushed at any cost.”
He called for strict legislation to punish those who harm the national unity and solidarity of the country by their negative actions or wrong propaganda.
“Anyone talking against Pakistan should be dealt with under Article 6,” he asserted.
We are the custodians of Muhajir culture, which is centred on mutual respect and love, Tissori advocated.
The Governor said that Urdu speaking community loved the word ‘Pakistan’ very much, as their elders had sacrificed a lot for this country.
“We also migrated for Pakistan by choice, not under any compulsion.”
He announced to dedicate today’s Muhajir culture day to the martyred armed forces.
The Governor said that 10th May victory against India has won high respect for Pakistan throughout the world. The nation should be proud of the honour Chief of Defence Forces and Army Chief Syed Asim Muneer is receiving in the world, he said.
Now, it is time for the nation to pull up its mussels and rise as an economic power in the region.
On this occasion, he invited all political parties to rise above their political agenda and join in the nation’s building, and for the progress and prosperity of the country.
