LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif congratulated national cricket team and the entire nation on winning Under-19 Asia Cup final against arch-rival India.
She added that Sameer Minhas played an important role in Pakistan’s magnificent victory by playing an excellent innings, and Subhan’s excellent bowling als played an important role in the victory. She added that ‘Shaheens’ have made the entire nation happy by defeating the paper lions in a memorable manner. She noted,” Pakistani players raised the green crescent flag by defeating India in Under-19 Asia Cup final. This victory is the success of entire Pakistan. We will remember this victory and India this defeat for a long time.”
Chief Minister Punjab said that in the face of hard work and determination, even big contenders had to face failure in the cricket field. She added that Under-19 national cricket team has won hearts of Pakistanis by performing brilliantly. She underscored that Pakistani players played an excellent game through teamwork and won the victory. The players demonstrated their full potential in bowling, batting and fielding. She hoped that U-19 national cricket team will also perform brilliantly in the upcoming matches.
