Karachi factory collapses after massive fire; two firefighters injured

A fire broke out at a garment factory in Karachi’s Export Processing Zone on Thursday, causing the building to collapse, according to Rescue 1122.
“The factory building collapsed due to the intensity of the fire,” Rescue 1122 spokesperson said. “Two firefighters were injured as a result of the collapse.”
Both injured firefighters were being given immediate medical aid, the spokesperson added.
“As soon as the Central Command and Control Rescue 1122 received the alert, a fire and rescue team along with an ambulance and a fire brigade truck was dispatched to the scene,” the Rescue 1122 spokesperson said in a statement earlier.
