Security forces eliminate 15 terrorists in 2 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa operations: ISPR
- Ring leader also killed in operation, says ISPR
At least 15 terrorists belonging to Indian Proxy Fitna Al Khawarij were killed in two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.
The ISPR said an intelligence based operation was conducted by the security forces in general area Kulachi, Dera Ismail Khan district.
It said that during the operation, own troops effectively engaged the khawarij location, and killed 10 including ring leader Alam Mehsud.
“In another intelligence based operation conducted in general area Datta Khel, North Waziristan District, own troops successfully neutralised five more khwarij,” the ISPR said.

Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari paid tribute to the security forces and said, “The complete eradication of foreign-backed terrorists operating against our beloved homeland will continue with national consensus“.
The counterterrorism campaign underway under ‘Azm-e-Istehkam’ reflects the national efforts to establish lasting peace in the country, President Zardari said.
“No political maneuver or attempt to distract attention at any level will be tolerated if it disrupts the national consensus against extremism and terrorism,” he said.
