LAHORE: The Punjab government has decided to take action against the owner of Theme Park, and the Deputy Commissioner Lahore has also written a letter to the Anti-Corruption Director General.

According to the Punjab Housing and Urban Development Department, on the instructions of Secretary Housing Noor-ul-Amin Mengal, the DC wrote the letter in which he recommended that 1,400 kanals of land owned by Theme Park owner Khushi Muhammad should be confiscated and that all expenses incurred on the relief operation should be recovered from him and deposited into the national treasury.

The department said that the government continues to take effective action for the protection of citizens’ rights and against illegal activities. Also, they have completed the relief operation at the Theme Park in Lahore.

Meanwhile, the Secretary visited the Theme Park after the successful completion of the relief operation. Commissioner Lahore Maryam Khan, Deputy Commissioner Syed Moosa Raza, and other officials accompanied him.

On this occasion, the Secretary listened to the residents’ grievances and issued immediate orders for their resolution. He stated that on the Chief Minister’s directives, strict action was taken against those who endangered the lives and property of citizens.

He said that the residents of the Theme Park had been going through extremely difficult circumstances, but the staff and machinery remained active 24 hours a day. He added that those who deceived innocent citizens do not deserve any leniency.

On this occasion, WASA Lahore Managing Director Ghafran Ahmed briefed the Secretary on the ongoing relief programme and its progress.
