‘Corporate Treasury in the Age of Digitalisation’: Citibank Pakistan holds insightful conference

KARACHI: Citibank Pakistan held an insightful conference titled “Corporate Treasury in the Age of Digitalization,” on 23rd September 2024 for its corporate clientele. Zain Sethna, Treasury and Trade Solutions head and Chief Digital Officer at Citi said, “The conference brought together industry leaders to share insights on how digital advancements in the banking industry are transforming corporate treasuries achieve greater efficiency and innovation in financial management.”

Naveed Anwar, Global Head of Platforms and Data Services at Citi, spoke about the critical role digital platforms are playing in reshaping the future of corporate treasury. He elaborated on Citi’s suite of digital services and its commitment to helping companies optimize their financial strategies by leveraging cutting-edge technologies.

The conference also featured a distinguished panel discussion of prominent speakers that included, Syed Sohail Javaad, Executive Director of State Bank of Pakistan, Ehsan Saya, Managing Director of Daraz Pakistan and Sri Lanka, and Omer Bin Ahsan, CEO and Managing Director of Haball.

The panellists shared their insights on how Pakistan’s financial landscape is transforming through digitization, touching on topics such as adoption of fintech, the role of e-commerce in accelerating financial inclusion, and the future of digital payments in Pakistan.
