ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Tuesday increased the prices of LPG for the consumers on the system of both gas companies - Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) by 2.79 percent and 3.08 percent, respectively with effect from September 1, 2023.

The new price for the consumers of the SNGPL has been fixed at $12.8366 per mmbtu which is $0.3184 per mmbtu high as compared with August 2023 price at $12.4885 per mmbtu. The consumers of the SSGC will however pay $13.3636 per mmbtu in September which is $0.3987 per mmbtu high as compared with the previous month at $12.9649 per mmbtu

The regulator attributed the recent hike in the RLNG prices due to the increase in RLNG Brent prices in the international market.

The price has been based at nine RLNG cargoes imported for September. The Pakistan State Oil (PSO) imported eight cargos and Pakistan LNG Limited imported single cargo.

The UfG has been incorporated on provisional bases at 0.38 percent in respect of transmission and 8.23 percent in respect of transmission and distribution.
