DUBAI: Iraq’s trade ministry bought 100,000 tonnes of US hard red wheat at $494.00 per tonne on a cost, insurance and freight basis, traders said on Monday.
Private sector allowed to import wheat
The wheat was bought through a direct purchase agreement with Anderson, the traders said, adding that only three companies, including Cargill and ADM, were invited to bid during negotiations.
