Army officer martyred in shootout with terrorists in Awaran

AWARAN: An Army Major was martyred while fighting valiantly to thwart a terrorist attack on a post of the security forces in the Awaran area of Balochistan.

According to a statement released by the ISPR on Friday, on the night of April 21/22, terrorists raided a security forces’ post in general area Kahan, near Awaran in Balochistan.

Having successfully repulsed the raid, the escaping terrorists were pursued into the nearby mountains. At one of the blocking positions established to cut off fleeing terrorists, a heavy exchange of fire took place between terrorists and security forces.
