PESHAWAR: KP Minister for Local Government and Rural Development (LG&RD), Faisal Amin Gandapur has directed Water Supply and Sanitation Programme (WSSP), Peshawar to come up with a master plan for resolution of the two big issues of drinking and sanitation in urban areas of Peshawar and ensure its strict implementation.

Because, he said, these two issues might become a challenge for us to deal with in future and hence we will have to take crash steps. He was addressing a briefing at the Local Government Secretariat Peshawar by its CEO Dr. Hassan Nasir, said an official handout issued here on Sunday.

The Chief Executive Officer WSSP told him that the company provides 52 million gallons of clean drinking water daily to the 1.85 million population of Peshawar whereas the water quality is also constantly checked.
