July-April 2020-21: E&T Dept collects Rs81.56bn

KARACHI: Sindh Excise and Taxation (E&T) department has collected Rs 81.56 billion during July-April period, claiming to have achieved 93 percent annual revenue target for fiscal year 2020-21 against the collection of Rs 64.536 billion made during the same period of last financial year.

The department has collected Rs 7.88 billion as motor vehicle tax, Rs 67.218as infrastructure cess, Rs 1559.460 million as property tax, Rs 494.853 million as professional tax, Rs 93.017 as cotton fee and Rs 30.213 million as entertainment duty.

Meanwhile, provincial excise said 93 percent tax targets had been achieved in the current financial year and hoped to surpass tax targets by the end of the ongoing fiscal year.
