Six injured after explosion in passenger bus in Karachi

(Karachi) At least six persons sustained critical injuries after a bomb placed in a passenger bus exploded near Karachi's Shireen Jinnah Colony, media reported on Tuesday.

As per details, police officials said that the bomb was installed at the gate of the terminal. They added that the bomb contained ball bearings and was detonated with a remote control device.

Soon after the incident, rescue workers reached the site and shifted the injured to hospital. The police and rangers have cordoned of the area and started investigations.

Meanwhile, IG Sindh has taken notice of the incident and sought report from SSP South.

Earlier, two Pakistan Rangers personnel and a civilian were killed when a roadside bomb targeting the vehicle of the security troops exploded near a railway station in Ghotki town in Sindh province.

Three other persons, including a paramilitary official, were also injured in the blast. The remote-controlled blast took place near the vehicle of the paramilitary Pakistan Rangers which was parked at the main railway station in Ghotki.
